Obama’s Speech on Race

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

I heard about this speech in response to all the media buzz about his connections to Reverend Wright and some of the abrasive things he’s said in the past. Even some of the parts of this speech were taken out of context.

I just got done reading the text transcript of the speech and have to say that even with the deep respect I already had for the man, this single speech increased it by orders of magnitude. I can only imagine and hope that those on the fence would be more than convinced that this is the kind of leader we need to turn our country around. Just reading the words (it takes a while) was truly moving and and enlightening read. The mere fact that someone so well spoken could possibly lead our country after the past 8 years with Douchebag McFucktard is amazing.

Please, I urge you. Take a break now and read the speech. Better yet, watch the video. Even if you aren’t up to speed on this week’s anti-Obama mud-slinging, the message and story in the speech is amazing, enlightening and eye-opening.

If you like it. Let me know. If you don’t let me know why… just curious.

A special thank-you to Emily who buzzed me via Google Talk with the link to the transcript. I might have missed this if it weren’t for her.
